At the upcoming 2014 International Conference on Heritage/Community Languages we will be presenting a new award called the Russ Campbell Young Scholar Award in Heritage Language Education. The award has been established in honor of Professor Russell Campbell whose work was instrumental in launching the field of heritage language studies.
Our aim in creating this award is to recognize outstanding scholarship by two individuals who are currently working on a dissertation, or who have filed one within the last 5 years, that focuses on topics related to heritage language. Five hundred dollars will be presented to each winner.
The award will be announced at the conference. In order to receive the award you need to be in attendance.
