    Your Gift Matters

The UCLA International Institute promotes the study of the world at UCLA, supporting research and education that address the critical global issues of our time. Your generous support will strengthen the Institute's academic programs, give students the life-changing opportunity to study abroad, and help fund our many public events.

Our Mission

The UCLA International Institute advances global understanding through teaching, research, and public engagement. As UCLA's hub for international and area studies, the Institute brings together scholars, students, and global partners to examine the world's most pressing challenges across regions, cultures, and disciplines.
Through interdisciplinary academic programs, research centers, language instruction, and international partnerships, the Institute prepares students to become informed global citizens and leaders. Its work strengthens UCLA's commitment to international scholarship and connects the university to communities around the world.

Why Your Gift Matters

Private support is essential to the UCLA International Institute’s ability to respond to an interconnected and complex world. Your gift helps ensure that students and faculty have the resources they need to explore global issues with depth, rigor, and real-world impact. Donor support:

  • Expands access to global learning opportunities, including study abroad and international research
  • Supports innovative, cross-disciplinary scholarship on critical global challenges
  • Enhances public programs that foster dialogue and understanding across cultures
  • Enables the Institute to respond quickly to emerging global priorities
