Driving from Chicago's O'Hare Airport (ORD)
- To drive to the campus from Chicago's O'Hare Airport, take I-190 a couple of miles to Interstate 294, the Tri-state Tollway (exit 1D). Head south (toward Indiana) for 35 miles to I-80, paying your tolls along the way.
- Take I-80 West (toward Iowa) three miles then exit from the left lane onto I-57 heading south. Drive south for a couple of hours or less to I-74 in Champaign. Take I-74 east three miles and take exit #183 for Lincoln Avenue. Turn right and head south a mile to the campus, which is on your right.
- Take a right onto Green St., go approx. 4 blocks, Illini Union Hotel will be on the left.
- Hotel Entrance-East side of building
- No access to North side of building
- Watch for signs
NOTE: DUE TO CONSTRUCTION ON GREEN ST. HOTEL ENTRANCE AND DIRECTIONS WILL CHANGE STATING MAY 22ND.
Directions to access the Illini Union Hotel due to Green St. Construction:
If coming in on I-57 heading south, take I-74 exit east three miles and take exit #183 for Lincoln Ave.
- Turn right and head south a mile to the campus.
- Turn right (West) on Springfield Ave.
- Turn right onto Mathews Ave.
- Proceed south on Mathews to Green Street where there will be an access entrance to the Illini Union Hotel parking lot. Watch for signs.
- Entrance for the Illini Union Hotel will be on the East side of the building, watch for signs.
Exit Route:
- Take a right out of access entrance to Mathews Ave.
- Continue South on Mathews Ave. to Nevada St.
- Left on Nevada St.
- Left on Goodwin Ave.
