The Heritage Language Data Repository (HELADA) is a result of the collaboration between the UCLA National Heritage Language Resource Center and scholars from various institutions. The purpose of this workshop is to introduce the HELADA Repository and provide insights on utilizing the platform effectively.
During the workshop, you will have the opportunity to:
- learn about the mission, objectives, and intended purposes of the HELADA Repository,
- understand how to contribute your own material to the repository,
- discuss ethical data sharing and best usage practices,
- network with other researchers and teachers interested in heritage languages.
IMPORTANT: In order to participate in the workshop activities, we kindly request that you create an account on the HELADA Repository before the event. Please follow the first step “Getting Access” in the following link in order to create a UCLA Logon ID and request access to the HELADA Dataverse. Only those who have created accounts will be able to fully engage in the workshop.
