The Younes & Soraya Nazarian Center for Israel Studies at UCLA is pleased to announce the launch of Israel In Depth, a new podcast series presented by Professor Dov Waxman, Director of the Nazarian Center for Israel Studies, focused on all things Israel.
Each episode will feature an in-depth conversation with scholars, policymakers, authors and other experts on Israel, the Middle East, and U.S. policy.
"This podcast will showcase the latest scholarship on Israel, tackle the biggest issues facing Israel, and delve into the most contentious debates concerning Israel, and it will do so in a way that's lively, engaging and educational," said Professor Waxman.
Listen to our debut Israel In Depth podcast with Ambassador Dennis Ross, a veteran American diplomat who has played a leading role in shaping U.S. involvement in the Arab-Israeli peace process, and advised three U.S. presidents, George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton, and Barack Obama. Ambassdor Ross discussed President Trump's recently released "Prosperity to Peace" plan aimed at resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. He also talked about his latest book, coauthored with David Makovsky, Be Strong and of Good Courage: How Israel's Most Important Leaders Shaped Its Destiny (Hachette Book Group, 2019).
Ross is a Counselor and William Davidson Distinguished Fellow at The Washington Institute for Near East Policy. He is also a Distinguished Fellow (non-resident) at the Y&S Nazarian Center for Israel Studies.
