  • Rajiv Rao, PhD (University of Wisconsin-Madison)

In this experimental panel, participants will be introduced to experimental methods used to investigate aspects of heritage speakers’ sound systems (Rajiv Rao, Univ. of Wisconsin Madison), word recognition (Ana Rita Sá Leite, University of Santiago de Compostela & Goethe University Frankfurt), and syntactic processing (Zuzanna Fuchs, University of Southern California). For each topic, presentation will consist of two components. First, a study employing the given method will be presented. Subsequently, the presenter will provide a general discussion of the method: both what research questions it can address and, more practically, what resources and design choices must be considered for the implementation of the method.
