This podcast begins with a discussion of various second language acquisition principles, project-based language learning approaches, and language pedagogy strategies that are incorporated into this Hindi teaching model. It also briefly discusses how this model implements Paulo Freire's pedagogy of equity, diversity, and inclusion as guiding principles to help troop members build foreign language proficiency and the 21st century skills of intercultural competence, collaboration, effective communication, teamwork, and mutual respect. Finally, this podcast shares various examples of real-life performance-based tasks that the girl scouts participate in. The principal example that is shared involves the girls developing an online yoga lesson that can take the place of PE during the pandemic.
