Professor Cheryl Keyes was chosen to join the executive committee for the Smithsonian's Anthology of Hip Hop and Rap. Dr. Keyes joins nine other committee members to compile a collection of over 100 songs that document and preserve American hip hop and rap music. She is a professor of Ethnomusicology and Global Jazz Studies as well as the Chair of the African American Studies Department.
