Each year the NHLRC holds a Heritage Language Research Institute that brings together researchers from several backgrounds and interest areas, ranging from language sciences to education. In addition, the institute aims to foster and promote new research that centers on HLs. This year’s institute focused on extending our knowledge of HL structure by exploring domains in HL competence that have received little prior attention. The institute also included two optional workshops that focused on HL pedagogy.
You can find presentations from this year’s Institute in the schedule.
