Anna Mikhaylova

University of South Carolina

Anna Mikhaylova is ABD in Linguistics at the University of South Carolina. Her research interests lie at the intersection of bilingualism, language contact, second language acquisition, sociolinguistics, and language pedagogy. The goal of her forthcoming dissertation is to gain a better understanding of how language works in the case of incomplete or interrupted acquisition and, as a result, to inform classroom language pedagogy. This is a logical continuation of academic interests formed during her undergraduate work in Foreign Language Teaching at Ryazan Pedagogical University, Russia, and her MA work in Linguistics and TESOL at East Carolina University.
